Amazon - The Rainforest
In 2014 I undertook a six day expedition to the Amazon Rainforest, an Ecosystem that has been in existence for at least 55 million years. What I saw there left me in sheer awe of nature's brilliance....as well as its darker side. This is a place that can hurt....as easily as it can heal. These photographs are a pictorial essay that convey some of these emotions.

Auschwitz - Brutality of Mankind
"Arbeit macht frei"
These are the words that greeted thousands of Jewish prisoners as they walked through the gates and into Auschwitz Concentration Camp
Literally translated - "Work makes you free"
Nothing could be further from the truth.
In 2013 I flew to Warsaw and then drove out to the camp. No words, feelings or emotions can truly describe the walk through Auschwitz and its sister death camp - Birkenau.
Revulsion, horror, amazement, pity - one goes through a gamut of emotions.

Angkor Wat & Laos - Monumental Compassion
Situated in Siem Reap, ANGKOR WAT represents the might of the supreme Khmer Empire. Built in the 12th century, its magnificent stone carved temples are dedicated to the God Vishnu.
LAOS is a small but beautiful country in South East Asia. Bordering the mighty Mekong river, it is a great place for kayaking, trekking and extreme adventure.
Unfortunately, it also has the rare distinction of being the most bombed country in the world. In 1961 the American air force unleashed an average of one attack every eight minutes for nearly ten years. By the time the campaign ended in 1973, a tenth of Laos’s population had been killed. Thousands more accidental deaths would follow from unexploded bombs left in the soil.
A sad reminder of a nation's disastrous & misguided foreign policy
Bhutan is a country that can truly be described as "Faces & Places". This small kingdom in South East Asia easily boasts some of the most beautiful and diverse landscapes as well as a community of wonderfull happy and spiritual people.
The North Eastern part of India comprises of 6 states, each with it's own culture, food, dress, music and character. India is such a large and diverse country. Unfortunately the North Eastern states have never got their due in terms of tourism and support. I hope these photographs draw more people to an area of India that is extremely close to my heart.
